Does the battery mod cover the speaker making it hard to hear?

No. I'm pretty sure the speaker is on the front of this phone, so the battery mod does not cover it.

To be more specific, the speaker is also the "earpiece" at the top of the phone. The battery mod does not affect this at all.

Congrats on the new phone. Seems like another home run in the Z Series. I really like my JBL Mod, cones in very handy.

I like the phone speaker mod is great.
I really like my Motorola turbo battery mod. Nice rubber textured back. Tale it off and on with Verizon's bumper case. Also can charge just the battery mod or both phone battery and mod.
It will charge phone first then the battery mod. In efficiency mod when the phone gets down to 80 percent it switches to battery mod when it's dead back to phone battery.
I'm getting 1 1/2 days off battery mod then charge so my internal battery should last for years

How much size / bulk does the battery mod add to the phone?
Will it still go in and out of a regular jeans pocket, easily?

It ads some thickness and weight.
But still fits in your pocket.
