Verizon Droid 2 Global unlocked?

I did read read through a few other threads that looked like they almost answered my question. So what I am looking for is clarification.

1. I bought a Droid 2 on Ebay.
2. After receiving the phone I bought an Unlock code
3. Unlocked procedure successful.(according the directions)
4. Inserted my SIM and called my carrier to update my account.
5. I live in the US and have a TMobile account, it would appear that I am screwed with this phone and TMobile.

So, can someone tell me I did something wrong(besides buying this phone) and how to help me correct my issue. Thanks, Josh.

You can only unlock the SIM card for overseas. You cannot use anything but Verizon or Pageplus in the usa. Unless you find a hack to change it I think I seen one on the net a few days ago. But I don't remember where. I do remember it will not work with the Gingerbread update.
