Missed Call and other LED alterations

Does anyone know if Missed Call or the other LED altering apps (Gmail notifier, Handcent, etc.) work on the D2? Are there a lot of colors available in that little LED, and can they be made to work? Am considering making the jump from a BB Storm with BerryBuzz, but not being able to quickly glance at the phone and see if I have an email, text, message, etc. ID'd by color is almost a deal breaker for me. Any confirmation that someone has been able to get different colors for different alerts would be much appreciated.

Sorry if this has been posted already, couldn't find this info with searches in the forums.

Yep, it's an RGB notification light. I've tested Handcent with several different colors.
