I have downloaded music on my computer (MP3) but how do I get it onto the SD card in the phone? I tried just copying it like I would to any other drive and it says that it is write-protected. It says to remove the write-protection.

How do I get music on the SD card?
If necessary, how do I remove write-protection?
If I remove write protection will this affect my phone or my files in any way?

Thanks!

You could connect your phone, and pull the notification shade, and enable "USB Mass Storage" if you want to employ the drag and drop method.

Windows Media Player, IMO, is the easiest method to move music from your PC to your phone. With either Mass Storage, or PC Mode enabled, all you have to do, is select the sync tab from over on he right, then start dragging files either from a folder, or Media Player itself. Then click "start sync"
