Suddenly Can't Download from the Market

Hey there. Former Blackberry user, just got a Droid 2 Global about a week ago and I'm having some issues. Up until today, I've been able to download apps from the market just fine. Now I'm trying and when the downloading icon shows up and I check my notifications, the app shows up under "Ongoing" but then disappears before it even begins to download. How do I fix this?

I'm pretty sure the market is down because I am having the same issue.

Reports of Market being down, should be back up now.
If not then clear cache (Settins > Applications > Manage Applications then find Market then clear data cache)
If that doesn't help then reboot.
