I've had my Droid 2 for about 6 months and for the last 2 it has gotten progressively worse. It freezes constantly, reboots while im on a call, and I have the pull the battery 3 or 4 times a day.

Anyone know of a solution other than factory reset?

If a factory reset is my only option, is there a way to back up my settings, games, etc. I know google backs up the apps themselves, just don't want to start all over.

Help please!

Edit: It's frozen as I post this!!! Aaaaaaaah!

root it and then use titanium backup. But if you're gonna go ahead and root your device anyway, you might try looking into ROMs. Liberty and Fission are both top notch. I'm currently running fission and enjoy it quite a bit. as for a none root solution. it may just be a bad app, unfortunately because it has been a few months it will be harder for you to troubleshoot.
