Gingerbread on Droid 2

Okay, this may be a really stupid thing, but I believe I have followed the instructions given on various threads, but it doesn?t work.

I have downloaded Droid 2 Bootstrapper and installed it. I also downloaded Monster_2.3.2_4.5.153_updater_Rooted.zip and placed it on my SD card. I have also backed up all of my apps, media, and data.

However, when I try to run Droid 2 Bootstrapper, it fails with the following error:

Command: [su, -c, . /data/data/com.koushikdutta.droid2.bootstrap/files/surunner.sh]

Environment: null

Am I doing something totally stupid?

is this before or after installing Gingerbread?

@corydunbar ? Before installing Gingerbread. I was trying to do Bootstrap recovery, pointing it to the zip file with Gingerbread, as has been detailed in other threads, only it crashes before I get the chance

sounds like you don't have root. you need to follow these steps.
