Why does the camera load so slowly?

I have tried other camera apps on this phone but its a lot slower than even my OG Droid when loading the camera app.

Yyyeah, I'm having the same issue with my stock camera. Takes a good like 5 seconds to load. PITA...escpecially when I'm in the car, and have a catch a quick pic of a new camoflaged production car or something lol...I've tried to find another camera app, but I can't seem to find anything good, Camera 360 is just too much, takes too long to set up just for a picture lol

Yeah I've also been using Retro Camera and that launches slowly too.

WTB root so I can start flashing some alternate roms which are prolly going to be faster

I have the same issue. I tried dling camera 360 and it was quicker, but not by much. I'm sure there will be a fix, I'm not to worries, ill be buying the bionic once its released.
