Downloaded wallpapers not fitting in screen

Ok new to droid (only week & half) and frustrated with wallpapers. The preloaded wallpapers fit screen good. Downloaded ones from apps don't let you put much of wallpaper in screen. I make the crop square as large as possible and only part shows up on home screen. Any way to make this better?

That's because, with the multi-page nature of the Android Homescreen, you only ever see part of the wallpaper at a time. As you scroll left and right through the pages of your Homescreen, the wallpaper is also moving left and right (creating a layered effect). The only way I know of to see the whole wallpaper all the time is to install a 3rd party launcher/homescreen that has the option to disable the background/wallpaper scrolling (like Launcher Pro). Then it will show the same chunck of wallpaper as you scroll through the pages of your homescreen.
