I have used my Droid MAXX with both an AT&T and T-Mobile sim card. Of course, there is no LTE with these, but the HSPA+ speeds are good where I live.

How did you get HSPA+ speeds? I could only get edge when I put a T-Mobile sim card in the d maxx, and I have excellent coverage at my house.
