4.4 MAXX on T-Mobile not sending SMS?

very strange issue that I'm hoping others know the solution to, but since the 4.4 Update, I'm only able to send SMS when on Global network mode, but I get much faster 4G data using LTE/GSM/UMTS. Unsure what is going on, but I'm not even able to add APN's so I'm kinda screwed if I want to send normal SMS. Google Voice and Hangout messages go through just fine, though. So not all is lost.

I had issues with MMS using the 4.4 hangouts SMS interface. Does the AOSP SMS still work, or is this just using SMS in hangouts? You can try uninstalling the hangouts app updates back to factory defaults then reinstall and reenable the SMS functionality.

How much "faster" are things WRT SMS receipt not using the default data network mode? I don't think it would be a function of the network but more so the tower and traffic your connected to.
