Dropped into water and still ticking

My phone was on the armrest of my couch, it fell into my dogs food dish and then tumbled into the water dish and fully submerged. I immediately grabbed the phone, shut it down, and set it to dry. Unfortunately I had no rice on hand to help and I have a slim case (in no way water proof) and screen protector on it. Due to flying out of town, 6 hours later I had to turn it back on and everything worked fine. 2 weeks later still no problems. I loved this phone before and even more now, even if I was super lucky.
