I had an experience today- my Battery dropped 35% in 2 hours. It got me thinking how we as a community can help others identify how to avoid a bad battery experience. I hope others will chime in with suggestions.

What I did was run a Mobile Hotspot in a weak signal area. It Drained my phone and my tablets battery excessively. I would not recommend doing this.

What suggestions might you have to avoid running low on battery between charges?

Turn off the unnecessary radio connections like Wifi, NFC or Bluetooth; only have the apps that you really need installed, don't use Task Killers and also setup the brightness on the phone at a low level. That will help a lot.

The maxx supports both the android device manager and motorola's version that basically does the same thing. Don't use both. Choose one or the other from settings / security and screen lock / device administrators and choose either Motorola device policy or android device manager (or neither if you don't need it.)
