When you do a factory reset, you get a message about losing data and installed programs but they don't tell you that you will lose 3g capabilities.

Apparently the only way to get it back is with a code. However, I am currently living in Brazil and am no longer a Verizon customer. Does anyone know the code to get back 3g?

OK if your not a customer then that's y if your going to use the network it has to be activated with Verizon. It if your not giving them money then no data service it becomes wifi only

I've been trying to fix this for over seven months; then I found the answer a few minutes after posting this question. I needed to add an Access Point Name APN. In Brazil, TIM has six available. My Droid Pro would only save one of them. Here it is; hope it helps others with the same problem:

Name - TIM CONNECT FAST 72404
APN - tim.br
proxy - not set
port - not set
Username - tim
Password - tim
Server - not set
MMSC - not set
MMS proxy - not set
MMS port - not set
MCC - 724
MNC - 04
APN type - not set
