Wifi and Google Voice?

Just a question does anyone know if you have a droid that is not hooked up to any plan if there is a way to hook up google voice to it and receive and make calls through wifi only?

I seriously doubt it. Google Voice just routes your calls through a landline number - it is not a VOIP service at all.

In other words, if somebody calls your GV number, it routes to any or all of the phones associated with your GV account (this can be done by contact, so work contacts go to a business cell phone, while personal contacts go to a personal cell phone, say) using voice service. So, by definition, you need to have a voice plan to receive calls on the device.

I knew that but if you have a google voice client on the phone I figured it could route to the phone. But I am probably off on that but I might give it a try anyways to see if I can find a way to hack my way into it.
