I can find it in astro but it wont let me install. Its not the helix launcher that was posted. Its a new one that DA sent me.

I hear a lot of people going with the bekit one. It's very stable.

However, this might be blasphemous to say, but i'd try and go without overclocking for awhile. I found that CM, above any other ROM, was fast even without overclocking.

I have the launcher working but I just can't get the new one with the Droid icon that opens his mouth when you put something in the trash bin. I installed the 2nd file you sent me which is the helix launcher itself with the 3d app draw icon the right side butt can't figure out the other part.

I am on stock 2.1 now. I was wondering if the battery life is any better (or worse) on CM 7?
Also, if I decide to go with CM, I have to go back to 2.0.1, then root my phone, then install ROM manager, and install CM 7. Is that correct?
TIA!

Battery wise I'm not sure but I think its probably better on CM. And your right with the steps you have to take to root since your coming from 2.1

For me, the p3droid kernel run a lot smoother and colder than the bkit ones.
Bekit at 800mhz would run around 35?-38? and the p3droid 900mhz runs at around 30?-34? or so. Huge difference to me!

Ahh well it works for me, so when running koush's rom I use his kernels. You know what runs hot? stock 2.0.1
I'm running it at 550mhz (stock) using the stock kernel, and it's running at around 37? C almost all the time. And 600mhz? Pshh thats ~40?
