Yes there are many rom's that will give you the 3d app drawer and Koush if one of them.

in general the differences feature wise are subtle between roms. try them all out and go with what 0you like. a lot of it has to do with themes as well... at this point most of them are stable with some experimental options you can add in. And it's getting easier and easier to switch between them every day now. enjoy

When you get bored, try UltimateDroid as well. It's smoked theme (if you want another theme without messing around with metamorph), and the new one is just as fast and stable as Cyanogenmod.

Has anyone tried this (How to install: 2.1 the easy way - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum) ? I'm thinking about installing that even though 2.1 is supposedly on its way today, don't want to get stuck with just 3 home screens. If anyone has installed that 2.1 version, how stable is it?

Ultimate Droid is now updated to 8.6 and it includes the 3D nexus one style launcher. Also runs a bit faster now too. Also includes the 3 music app (3d block style themes) which is really nice. This ROM still gets my vote for best.

edit. Swype is not included in the 8.6 standalone. In order to get swype, you have to load 7.8, then update to 8.6. that way you can keep swype with 8.6. If you try to load your legit beta with 8.6 it will give you an incompatible error.
