Looks good, looks like the Moto app has the whitest sign. Which app do you feel is the closest to real-life?

I do like the default app but Open Camera though not is fast, has great features.

It's hard to evaluate the difference with only 1024 px images. One thing I can see is the Google App tends to very slightly oversaturate the colors in these shots. Look at the light green bushes in the forefront, the blue SUV parked near them, the yellow paint on the curb of the landscaped island. All of these objects look more colorful in the Google app. Also take a look at the silver SUV far back on the left side of the shot. It seems to "glow" compared to the stock app and the Open Camera app.

The stock app and the Open Camera app look virtually identical with these shots. BTW, great job framing the shots and keeping a steady hand to make them nearly identical (or else you used a tripod and/or sized them in photo editing software.)

I went through these same sorts of experiments with my T1 and concluded that the stock app was pretty good, certainly no other app was better for simple shots. I tried Camera Zoom FX, Camera FV-5, and Google Camera. I liked Camera FV-5 because of the added features but I found I didn't use them very much and I really like the "shake to open" feature of the stock app.

No. No editing at all. I was sitting with my back against the wall.
I think the Google app was auto HDR. The other two were not.

I do have a bunch of pictures but let me dig up a video that shows it off better - the stabilization of the camera and quality is by far the best I've seen.

I also got some cool sunset photos. It was incredibly orange after a cloudy dreary day. I believe the HDR was on. I didn't know if I should "resize" them or "compress" them to post. These are compressed

I really love how this one came out. I had to crop it a lot but the detail is still there.

That is a fairly impressive low light photo. The lights are well delineated, not blurry. You can actually read JOY on the garage doors. The vertical bars of small lights on the 2nd floor above the larger garage door are individual lights, not a blur. Very nice.

Anyone seeing better sharpness in low light than this first pic? Even though a night shot, this was a relatively bright scene. For comparison, second much clearer photo is from an iPhone 6 Plus, at similar vantage point.

I think what you are seeing is the difference between having optical image stabilization and not having it. You can see this when you zoom in on the people lining the street in front of the performers. The shots with the T2 are somewhat blurry; the shots with the Apple 6+ are not blurry. There is also some light reflecting off the street in the T2 which could have "tricked" the sensor.

People shooting in low light--remember to brace your hand or arm to steady it when shooting photos in low light.
