Has anyone been able to get voice commands over Bluetooth to work?

Over the last several phones iPad and Android operating systems I've never been able to get voice commands over Bluetooth to work. Has anybody else been able to get this to work? I can dictate text over my bluetooth device, but the phone never actually recognizes any of the commands that I try to give it through moto voice.

do you have the latest blooth adp2 i think, my plantronic voyager legend has no problem when i give commands

I was able to with my bt headphones on my Droid Maxx. With that you just long pressed the button until you heard a total he and then said the command (without the "ok Google now" phrase - just "call John Doe mobile", "what's the weather", etc.)
