Still tough to pinpoint any specific culprit there, except that the phone still remains awake a lot.

Go to the main Settings>Battery screen that shows the list of apps and services that are using the most battery (in the main System Settings, not in GSam). Then check each listed app and see if any of them is keeping the phone awake for an inordinately long time. I just noticed that the Medscape app on my Nexus 6P was keeping the phone awake for a few hours, despite my only using it in the foreground briefly. I uninstalled it today and hope to see some improvement in unwanted awake time (and therefore battery life).

Again, nothing totally egregious there. Verizon Cloud might be something to target. If you never use Verizon Cloud, see if you can Disable it in Settings>Apps>All. If you can't disable it, clear its Cache and Data, then Force Stop it. When I used to have a Verizon phone, I couldn't Disable their old Backup Assistant Plus, but if I Cleared Cache/Data and Force Stopped it, it wouldn't seem to activate.

Although your Facebook app doesn't report keeping the phone awake for very long, you might still want to try uninstalling it, and just using the mobile site on your browser. Facebook can be a pretty notorious battery, data, and memory hog. See this recent article from Russell Holly: It turns out uninstalling Facebook for Android is pretty great | Android Central

Disable the Verizon cloud app. (Unless you're using it for some reason). That's keeping the phone awake a lot.

I agree about uninstalling Facebook, unless you NEED the notifications. (I don't. I can look at fb at my leisure.)

What are you doing with Bluetooth? That's keeping the phone awake 1.5 hours. Listening to music, or just a headset, a watch, some or all of the above??

I've been experiencing abnormal Phone Radio usage. Today it's probably the highest I've seen. I usually have two bars at work throughout the day and the same or more while at home. Any ideas what might be causing this?

What does the phone signal graph look like in GSam? The signal bars in the status bar can be misleading sometimes. There have certainly been times when I had a couple of bars but couldn't make or receive a call successfully.

Here's a capture, I had to bump charge on my drive home from work.

I did notice that my 'Preferred Type' was listed as Global in my cellular settings. Would that make a difference?

Ideally, it'd be good to see what the signal is like after a battery charge cycle where the Phone Radio battery usage is really high again, to see if it correlates with poor signal at that time.

Here's a couple pictures from my phone at the end of the day. Seems like by 3pm I need to think about a charge after light to moderate usage. I don't turn off Bluetooth, WiFi or GPS during the day. I know they can eat up battery life.

The Phone Radio is no longer using a disproportionate percentage of battery, but your total screen on time certainly doesn't look that good. What's striking now is that the Held Awake time is almost the same as the total time on since the last charge, which shouldn't be happening, and may be contributing to drain, even though it only says it's responsible for 7% (it may be that additional battery usage from this is accounted for in the listing of battery usage sorted by apps).. GSam has an option to show what apps have been keeping the phone awake--show us that. I wonder if S Health may be the culprit.

BTW, in the future, I recommend creating a new thread in a situation like this, since you clearly have a Samsung device, and not a Droid Turbo 2 as described by the OP's thread title. Although your question is generally about battery drain, it may be confusing for others looking through the thread, who will assume that everyone is talking about a Turbo 2. Different devices can have specifically known causes for battery drain or other issues, so throwing a different device into the mix can sometimes be like comparing apples to oranges. Thanks!

EDIT: Turns out stew72 is in fact using a Turbo 2 with S Health installed--my bad!

I was right there with you.... Until two days ago when I read an article on Drippler which explained that Facebook app and Facebook Messenger app have been tested and proven to be the most battery draining apps for several reasons some too technical for me to understand. So, I deleted both apps and can say without doubt that my battery life has improved substantially. Very pleased and I just use the mobile website in place of the apps as the article suggested. Hope this helps others.

Y'know, I might do this one day, just to see if it makes a substantial difference...

I use Messenger all the time, but I've heard that the Facebook mobile browser does a pretty good job of providing you with notifications, etc. ... So if I use the mobile browser, could I still get message notifications to my drop-down notification drawer? I thought I read that there was a setting for that.

Yep I deleted facebook as well but not messanger as I use that all the time. I did see a huge improvement as well after deleting facebook. I use the brower and also an app called metel which is a wrapper for the browser and it works well. I should delete messanger to see if the battery life gets even better.

Uninstalling Facebook app didn't do anything for me. Haven't tried uninstalling FB Messenger yet, I tend to rely on it.

I suspect my battery drain challenge could be Bluetooth Pebble smart watch, 24x7.

Yeah Bluetooth on with a smart watch is not going to get you great battery 🔋 life. What is your average?
