Just bought the Turbo 2 after dropping my original Turbo in the lake last Sunday
Am I missing something or isn't there a seperate ringtone for text messages any more? I like to turn off the text notification ringtone but still have incoming calls active.

Usually you go into the app (messages on your case) and you'll have the notifications tones/vibrate etc options there, independent of ringtone. You also have a separate notifications menu in main settings of you're running M... And.... When you press any volume button, the pop down window will give you the options to separately control ringtone, notifications tone, media volume and system volume....
    Confused yet? 😄

I guess maybe I should have put the question as, I noticed that there is no longer a seperate slider for volume control for "notifications" in the "sound and notification" area in settings.
