Facebook app problem

Was on Facebook going through my notifications when it looked like it froze & I couldn't go back then a message came up saying unfortunately Facebook has stopped. I cleared it's cache which normally sorts the app out but the message keeps popping up over other apps even when it's not running. Any idea how to sort it & stop the message pop up every few hours?

Please, try to uninstall the application, reboot the device and install it again.

Thanks will try this after my phone has finished charging as I don't like re booting it when it's charging.

Some devices might have issues with running the application.

My phone is the Moto X Force in the UK which is like the same phone as the Droid turbo 2. It's still on android 6.0.

Funnily enough I haven't had this problem all day & I haven't done anything to the app. Had to unplug my phone this morning & rush off & haven't had a chance to uninstall the app yet but I haven't had the message for the whole day. Maybe it sorted itself out?

Sometimes, apps fail to run successfully.
When that happens to me, I usually restart the device and everything's fine again.
