Droid Turbo screen size

I bought the Moto X and started to use it for about a week and returned it. One thing that I did not like, were the buttons on the bottom of the screen. I assume that the buttons were part of the 5.2 inch screen. With the Droid Turbo buttons being below the screen, wouldn't that make the Droid Turbo larger than the Moto X or, am I just imagining things?

I really would like the Nexus 6 but,.my Note 3 is starting to hurt my hands when its held for long periods of time as I am starting to get arthritis in my hands or its just, I am reaching too much withe Note.
