I took this photo from a boat which probably is why the buildings look wavy. But considering that it was in broad daylight with relatively calm water, I'm kind of surprised that the shutter stayed open long enough to distort the photo. Anyone have any other explanation for why this might happen? I haven't noticed anything like it on other shots.

That is a weird picture. Notice the building(s) in the center appear near vertical with relatively straight edges Not perfect but much better than the buildings toward the sides of the picture. Buildings on both sides appear to lean to toward the center. The angle of the lean toward the center increases as you move to the sides. Not sure how that effect can be the result of motion of the boat. Besides unless you were on a very small boat the water is too calm to cause that degree of movement. If the distortion was the result of movement the tilt or angle of the buildings should be the same across the picture.

The lines on the boats in the foreground appear to be correct. Do they look like the boats did?

As far as the shutter time, the light conditions do not appear to be dark enough to trigger a longer shutter time.

Finally got my Turbo last night. Man, is this thing fast. Anyway, I snapped some pics indoors with good lighting. All is good. Flash is way, way better than any flash on any phone I've ever had. I decided to try to challenge the camera a bit. Pics are unedited except I resized them to 1920X1080 to be able to upload here.

First shot was taken at 9:30 at night, completely dark. Picture is of neighbor's house across the street and two houses over. I thought it was not too bad. You can see individual Christmas lights (they are a tad blurry, but they are the only source of light.) Keep in mind the house is probably 250 feet from the camera. Also, the shot of the house is taken while looking through tree branches, though the lights on the fence in the backyard is unobstructed. Interestingly, I tried to improve on this shot by taking two more shots but the first shot was the best. Click on photos to enlarge.

Next shot was of my bar countertop. That is a single 25 watt light bulb providing illumination. This is the first shot also. I tried a couple of other shots and they were identical.

Do you regret changing from the note 4 to this phone? Does this phone have an option similar to the beauty shot option on the note 4?

I'm having great luck with the camera so far. the shutter is annoying but it does shoot some nice photos when everything falls into place.

Another night scene. House is across the street and one lot over. Click on photo and zoom in on the wreath hanging on the front of the house. Not bad. Although there is noise you can also see the square panels on the garage door. Drag-to-focus was used. Auto everything else. Photo is untouched.

Edited to add: Android Central will not let you zoom in more than one preset amount. The wreath does look pretty good when you can zoom in farther.

I have 2 days left on my 14 day trial and just started using the camera. I took these pictures of my grandson this afternoon. I ;had HDR on or auto and flash at auto (but it never went off) His skin looks orange and there is an orange tint to his clothes yet the scene outside looks ok. I also took a picture of my son in his office. The walls are beige but they looked grey in my picture and the entire picture was dark. I took the same picture with his new IPhone 6 and the colors were accurate and brighter. What am I doing wrong?Post Pictures Taken with your DROID TURBO here-img_20141211_153607468_hdr-1.jpg

In the picture of your son eating the ice cream cone, I think your camera was fooled by the light outside. It swamped the sensor and caused the HDR to oversaturate the colors on your son. Also made your son look darker than he was with the naked eye. I'm guessing you don't have the drag-to-focus activated in your camera, just point-and-shoot? In other words your camera was probably focusing moreso on the outside scene than your son. I'd switch the drag-to-focus to ON. If HDR is on, I'd turn it to auto, or to off. Hope this helps.

It would be interesting to see the iPhone and the Turbo photos of the office scene side-by-side...

Here are some pictures I took of our Christmas tree. Only lighting was from the lights on the tree and a faint streetlight that doesn't really illuminate the room. With the tree lights off the room is almost pitch black. HDR helps to bring noise in low light shots to a minimum.
