Is there any reason if I'm not leaving the country to have it set to Global? I moved mine over to CDMA/LTE
I haven't had obviously more than about 10h of experience with the battery. It was fully charged 7h ago when I left for work and I'm down to 67% now which is about where my Maxx was after a 10h shift. I'll give it some time to see if it breaks in some. I wonder how it would have been with 3900mah and a 1080p screen.
Posting your battery stats on the first day isn't realistic. Everyone is on the phone more than usual, downloading and installing a bunch of apps, setting up ringtones, downloading emails, etc.
Yeah for sure, you make a good point. The coming weeks should be a good indicator though.
EDIT: For Global vs CDMA, I don't know what it means but I noticed I get better signal on Global mode. In certain places like Home Depot near me my signal completely dies if it's on CDMA. On Global, it can pick up atleast 3G.
My work phone is an iPhone 6, it can sit out of the charge with me not using it for 16hrs and still be over 90% battery. If my Turbo is better than that I will be happy.
Here is my battery life so far. When I picked it up it had about 60%. That was about 12 noon. I downloaded sowfware update plus 40 napp updates plus resetting a million things. at 855 or it was at 14% Put it on the turbo for 15 min and it went to 35%[ATTACH=CONFIG]144802 Now will see how it last.
Half of a day is not going to give us any indication of Battery life but i was interested in the Turbo charge so that is my point.
Update. got back to the room about 12 so 3 hours later and still had 31 %on battery.
After my first day I'm extremely satisfied. My Galaxy S5 would have been dead a while ago.
I think its safe to say my Turbo could go to over 6 hours of display time. Most of this was web surfing + 40 minutes of video watching. Some texting/Hangouts. Of course, I've been on WiFi most of the day.
As you can see below Android System barely takes any battery. On my S5, that would use as much if not more than the display! Touchwiz is so inefficient...
Overall, I love it. Other things to note is that I'm on Automatic brightness, sync Gmail. Skype has been signed on all day almost. WeatherBug only auto updates every 6 hours to a specific location. I wanted to set the device up like the S5 for comparisons sake.
Give it about a week to settle in and I bet we will all be raving about the battery life.
Sent Turbo fast from my 64GB Droid Turbo
I agree. Charged up to 100 before bed and let it set unplugged overnight. 100% to 96% after 8 hours. I use the automateit app and it disconnects 4g when the screen goes dark. Really happy with this. Headed to work soon and will watch at least 2 hours of videos on the train. Tried to log into the mobile app to post screen shot but the mobile app didnt have any options for that. Ill try again later. But so far I am really happy.
I don't have a screen shot but I fully charged it yesterday and according to the GSam battery monitor app I got 8.5hours of screen on time and 10 hours of total up time out of that charge before going to bed when it was at 5% battery remaining.
Believe me, I pushed this thing in every way possible so that is fabulous (early) news about the battery life. Will keep you posted, but I think we have the phone of the year in our hands.
It just appeared in the app drawer. One quirk that I have noticed is that I have a delay between downloading an app and when it appears in the app drawer.
I noticed this too! I thought I was going crazy for a minute there lol.
Definitely not a definitive, technical reply, but yesterday my poor RAZR M (messed up by kitkat) was at 72% at this time. With pretty much the exact same usage today (unplug at 6:30am, check email/weather/twitter, stick it in my bag & drive to work/set it on my desk & occasionally check notifications.) it is at 91% right now. I am THRILLED!
My goal with this phone is to get 16 hours of usage. I think it's dumb that people are angry, Because they aren't going to get the 48 Hours they are told. Most of us aren't average users. I plug my phone in every night when i go to bed, So why would i need it to last 48 hours? I just don't understand these type of people. Give me 14-18 hours and I'm Happy.
Isn't that dangerous, overcharging the battery like that?

Modern batteries like lithium ion respond better to more frequent (and smaller) charges. This supposedly helps condition a modern battery and extend it's life and performance.
I suppose I'm a bit paranoid, given how my current phone (Lumia 928) is having serious battery performance issues. I think it's more related to the Windows Phone 8.1 preview I'm running, which may not be perfectly optimized for the device. But it started after a period when I charged the battery overnight almost every night for a few months, so I've always been concerned that might be an issue.
Hopefully no such battery life issues will persist when I get my Turbo today or Monday.

I charge every night and never have issues with any phone. Just remember that if one day your battery drains abnormally it is most likely a rogue app. Just restart the phone.
