Turbo charger

I have been charging my phone since I received it with my generic 2.1 amp output charger. I just tried using the turbo charged it came with, it went from 42% to 46% in 20 mins. That doesn't seem like 8 hours battery life to me. Is there a trick to maxing up the charge output?

It only "turbo" charges when battery is low then just goes into a normal charging mode. I get around 20% in 15 minutes when I charge from 5% or so.
