Advanced calling 1.0 = no dialing out?

I got the new turbo update, and turned on advanced calling. When I call out (to a non-advanced calling phone, not sure about advanced) it rings once, then goes silent, not connecting. The person on the other end sees it ringing, but neither of us can hear eachother. When I turned it off, the call went through no problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this? On the plus side, I didn't get any hissing problem, but this is a a pretty big problem... not being able to use the phone as a phone!

Have you tried the carrier's tech support number? (Be prepared for something like "Oh, that feature hasn't been implemented fully yet. Don't use it for now unless you know the person you're calling has it.")

I have not had that problem at all with mine. I have not seen any problems at all. Are you in a good signal area? If you are in a marginal area and drop to 3G it will drop the call. Check and see if that can be the issue.
