ok, i got it (red version) for christmas in 2014 from my parents, and in February it started making a weird popping type sound if i press on the lower back part. i thought nothing of it., and in april, it dropped into a little water, no more than 5 seconds, it looked fine, just a little wet, but we were far from home at that point, so i couldn't do the rice trick, when we got home, we didn't have any rice so i wrapped it in a towel for 4 days and hoped for the best, as some condensation was in the cameras, after 3.5 days it would make the boot up noises for 5 minutes straight if you touched the power button, that night, the screen worked at half static, and that morning it appeared normal, but the touch screen was not responsive, everything else was fine, it even held the 100% charge from the night before perfectly fine, so i decided to try to run the battery into the ground to no avail, it helped or hindered nothing, its been sitting for weeks now and i don't know what to do as this is my first droid phone, coming from an iphone 4s. is there anything i can do?

Since the phone was wet for so long, I'd say it's a goner by now. Especially since you plugged the charger in. (BTW, "the rice trick" isn't how you fix a wet phone, it's how you destroy it slower. See Oh, no! My Phone got Wet!.)

Well, since you've been using it for a little while, it appears from your comment on condensation still being in the lens, you did't really get all of the water out with the rice trick. You may want to try rubbing alcohol to thoroughly rid all of the water from the inside of your phone, if it's not too far gone due to corrosion. Just submerge your phone in rubbing alcohol for a few seconds and let it air dry. Just be sure you take out the battery and do the same thing.
Now, repeat the rice trick and check. I found this trick on another site awhile back when I dropped my phone in the toilet. znq.us I think. Anyway,
    I hope this helps.
