    I just moved to a new state and haven't been able to get any data coverage where I am. Other people who also have Verizon are able to get 3G coverage here.

    In my mobile network settings it shows that I have 5 bars of 1x with -69dBm and 3 bars of 3G with -68dBm. However the status bar at the top of the screen does not show any 3G coverage. I have data enabled, global date roaming is set to allow access for all trips, and my preferred network type is set to global, although I've tried all three settings with no change.

    I haven't been able to find anybody else with this same issue, so any help would be much appreciated!

    First, try dialing *228. If that doesn't get you data, bring the phone into a Verizon store and ask them for help.

    One other thing to try, if you haven't tried this yet, is to simply restart the phone. Sometimes data gets messed up and it takes a restart to clear it.

    Dialing *228 does not work on LTE phones. Sounds like you need another sim card. You should be able to get a replacement from your local Verizon store.
