Cannot Use Settings Without a Force Close

For almost 2 weeks, my settings option has been useless. It keeps force closing. See attached picture. Can anyone offer a solution to this? I appreciate it.

I would factory reset phone, that is not normal.

Before a factory reset you can try different things.

- Wipe cache partition.
- Safe mode to check if there's a conflict with an app you downloaded.
- Clear data in settings - apps - all tab - settings app.

The little info I found on this topic points at an incompatible app. I'll try the cache partition wipe.

I am sorry...the setting should NEVER crash. Something is NOT right. Why fiddle, just backup and reset the phone..

You're right. Settings shouldn't crash and most likely a factory reset will fix the problem. The thing is, sometimes settings crash and I always prefer trying to find the reason. That way the OP, and anybody else, will know how to fix it if that happens again.
