Wifi battery usage

Since I installed the 5.1 update, I've noticed in the stock battery stats that wifi displays as always on, with a solid green line across the screen, even when wifi is off AND disconnected from any wifi signal. Does anyone else see this? I don't seem to have a drain on the battery as a result, but I don't have a clue why it would show up like this.

It's in the advanced wifi settings. A toggle to let wifi scanning always be available for location purposes. You can turn it off, but I've never found it to be much drain. And if you do much with location (maps, weather, photo location, etc) it makes location locking much faster and probably saves battery.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have that setting turned on.
