Here's mine on KitKat. It was over the weekend so low usage. But yes I do feel KitKat had a lower battery usage. Somewhere there are screenshots where I've gone 60 + hrs. It was in a thread about battery life. Your usage is good for LP, I just don't feel it's good enough for me.

That's bad. You shouldn't let a lithium battery go below 40% if you don't want to replace it sooner than you have to. 27% is hurting it pretty badly. Look at table 2 at Battery University - How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries and extrapolate between 50% and 100% (totally discharged), and you'll see that it's not so great.

I did it. Went back to the store and got a turbo with kit kat on it. We'll see how the battery life is. So far, the lte signal is worse than previous turbo.

My battery is way worse in lollipop. I'm at 15% right now with less than 3 hours screen on time. I used to get a consistent 5 hours SOT with kit kat. And my screen used to always be the #1 battery drain. Now it's cell standby and then android OS with screen in 3rd place. I've wiped cache and even done a FDR. I still love the phone. Wouldn't hesitate to grab the next generation of it. Just wish my battery were a little better.

Good for you. Be sure you disable the apps from the pictures I posted. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks. What apps did you disable? Will I have to disable the apps again if I do a clear cache?

Conan here ya go. I cleared cache after disabling all these. Some you may want. Don't use the moto screen stuff. Here is a screen shot of my battery before bed last night too.

And I make no promises this will work and stop the update. All I know is so far it has for me and it doesn't prompt me anymore to do it. LP is great for some and a disaster for others. For me it destroyed my battery life but that's because of a weak 4g signal area.

I believe KK is better, with about 28 hours off charger I get about 5-6 hours of screen time with all my junk running about 10% left.

I did a factory reset yesterday after noticing that Google play services and Android OS were taking the majority of my battery usage. The issue seems to have been fixed with the reset. This was the first factory reset since buying the turbo in October.

Settings / apps. Go to the "all" tab. Motorola Check in, Motorola services, etc. Tap them and then disable them.

Try shutting down the phone and wiping the cache partition. The updates, when downloaded, are stored in cache. You may have already downloaded it, so that's why the notification. (I have to be honest - I didn't know you could stop the update without rooting the phone. This is all news to me. But, if it is possible by disabling all of those apps, then it might be you already have it.)

Wipe the cache partition instructions: http://androidforums.com/threads/dro.../#post-6797620

Obviously, you'll follow the KitKat instructions.
