    I was prompted by my Droid Turbo yesterday to do a system update. Since then I have somehow managed to use 6 GB of data (in under 24 hours). How is this possible? Verizon just said that they will increase my plan (as long as I pay for it) but I feel it must be a phone malfunction, or it is counting wifi or something?
    It says that most of my data has been used by email, over 4 GB since yesterday, even though I have it set up to only sync over wifi. It managed to use up 3 GB of data without me even using the phone. It was just sitting on my desk.
    Anyone know anything? Not having much joy with Verizon... really mad...

    Maybe a newly downloaded app is pulling advertisement videos?

    Could be glitch in the system. Earlier this month my son's iPhone "used" 9gb in the first couple days of our cycle. When I downloaded the data xls it showed significantly less data used. After opening a case with tech support they fixed the "accounting" error.

    I'm sure happy I'm on that grandfathered unlimited, they can charge me all the data they want... It will be at their wasteful expense.
