The other night, my phone got soft bricked due to a faulty cable and charger. I know its soft bricked because i can still access the AP Fastboot menu. Everything is still stock. I never tried messing with the original ROM. I want to get it back on so i can save data and back it up before i get a replacement phone. Or i can work on it and get it flashed and working again but i don't want to lose data. Is there anything i can do?

Welcome to Android Central! Puzzling how it could get soft bricked just from a faulty cable--do you think it happened while charging? I suppose it could have been a power surge, but I would have expected that to fry the phone and not let it turn on at all.

Are you able to access Recovery from the Fastboot menu, then wipe the cache partition or do a factory reset?
