Device-specific bluetooth questions/issue

I just got a Motorola Roadster (it was on sale 50% off direct from Moto) BT speaker for my car. I notice that when my X running GB is connected to it, the BT status icon is different than when it's connected to either my now-replaced Jabra SB200 speaker or BlueAnt T1. When connected to the Jabra or BlueAnt, it's a plain flat filled BT icon. When it's connected to the Moto, it's blue with edge shading giving it a 3D effect. In case it matters, I did install the MotoSpeak software.

Problem I've recently noticed primarily with the BlueAnt (could be because it's the most used) is that periodically I'll lose the BT connection. I thought this only happened when idle, but today on a 15 minute phone call, the BT connection went out three times.

I too have recently acquired a Roadster and installed the MotoSpeak app, but my BT icon is the same as it was before. However, I am having issues with the app uninstalling itself, so maybe my experience is not one hundred percent compatible.
