Disable Social Networking or remove account?

Is there any way to disable the Social Networking Motorola app? I have the Facebook app, and Tweetcaster. The Social Networking app is basically useless and just adds extra, superfluous notifications (Facebook mail for example)

I guess I can remove the account, but won't that unlink my contacts from Facebook? I feel like I have 2 apps that do basically the same thing. One is slightly more useless than the other.

So can it be disabled or do I just have to remove my accounts? And if I do that...what will that do? Honest, I don't use any of the Blur apps except this one (and I don't use it per se, I just have my account in there) because I feel like I have to

you cant remove the app (not without rooting, anyway), but you can set it to only update over wi-fi so its not constantly updating. i dont know of any way that you can stop the notifications from happening, but youre right on that it will remove the facebook contacts from your phone if you delete your account.
