Stock camera, auto setting...THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING. On one hand; even this is good for a "cell phone camera." But on the other; this is NOT how the X should preform. Can anyone help?

Phone was not set to oil painting or whatever it is that this looks like...

I wish! because this issue is ongoing for me (and I'm trying EVERYTHING I can think of), the first thing I do is make sure the lens is clean.

and you're using the stock camera app? with no setting obviously sticking out that makes it do this image?

I would think that it's a defective camera.. show a VZ rep, they'll replace it for you..

This pic looks cropped to me. If you blow up any of the X's (or any other cell phone) pics to 100% their actual size and crop a portion, they'd look exactly like that picture. Most pics should be resized to 50-60% of their size at most (IMO).

Not cropped at all, promise. Its really hit and miss, sometimes the pics are "ok" but when my buddy takes the same picture on his Tour and I use his...something is wrong.

Thanks for the help guys but I think sniffs is right, my camera may be a lemon.

Just snapped a few pics in my backyard...macro seems to focus just fine for me. The rest are taken with Auto settings. All pictures (except pan.) are in 6MP widescreen.

Oh threw in a panoramic shot too.
