Gmail label notifications

Ok, I recently set up my gmail account to filter messages from certain senders to appear in certain folders (or labels)

I also set for these emails to skip my inbox

Is there a way I can leave my setup as is (skipping the inbox and going straight to it's designated folder) and still receive a notification on my phone?

Right now I don't get a notification of a new email in the folder. Whenever I manually check my labels, the emails just "appear"

I don't think you can leave that setup and still get notifications with the default app. The default only notifies when mail gets to the inbox as far as i can tell.

Ok, thanks. Is there a third party app that I can use?

I use Gmail Label Notifier, its a paid app but it works great and ended up being totally worth it.

Allows control of notification icon color, vibration pattern and led color all specific to each label.
