So here's the backstory...I haven't used my X in a while,it was running on MIUI ICS but...after a month of inactivity I need to use it again.I power back on and it says, 'Bootloader 30.04" "Battery ok,ok to program". Well I look it up and find I need to flash a new rom, I power on while holding down the home button and get "Android system recovery".So far so good.I download the latest stock android and try to apply the update and it comes up with the "error in tmp/sideload/package.zip.......etc. my only problem is that the computer won't recognize the X and it won't reboot so I'm stuck working with the Android system recovery and bootloader 30.04......What can I do ?

droid x updates can only update stock firmware
you need to flash a sbf using rsd lite, sbf_flash, or ezSBF

So I tried flashing stock ROM from the SD and it failed so I'll try using rsdlite and see what happens
