GPS will not work in another country?

I was recently in Spain and was trying to use the GPS on my X to mark a position. I was suprised that I could not find a GPS signal at all. I tried a couple of the basic free GPS programs.

It wouldn't surprise me if A-GPS didn't work, but I'm surprised you didn't get a satellite lock. How long did you wait, and did you have "Use Satellites" checked in the location settings?

definitely the same problem here. tried aGPS, regular GPS, put the phone in clear sight of a lot of clear blue sky for 30 minutes. no luck. i managed to get one lock one single time doing this and also having the assistance of a WIFI signal on a router which is known to skyhook/Google. even that didn't work, though, on a retry a couple of weeks later. tried in Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy in the past 3 weeks. very disappointed.

That's a bummer guys. I guess I'll have to take my Droid X overseas with me in a month and see if I run into the same issue.
