update problem

why is it that when i go to settings, about phone, system updates I get nothing? I thought there was a new version available. 2.3.15?
i keep getting a check for update was not available at this time, try again later.
I downloaded the link to manually install. Should i just wait or go ahead and install?

2.3.15 was the initial froyo update. that should hopefully already be installed on your phone (note: 2.3.15 refers to the system version, not the android OS version, which should be 2.2). The new update released this week was system version 2.3.340 (android OS version 2.2.1). if you have the manual install zip, you should be able to roll with it (assuming youre on 2.3.15 already). just keep in mind if you are rooted and have flashed a custom rom, you need to roll back to stock first
