How do I put ringtones onto my SD card?

I know how to set ringtones for my contacts when they call. But how do I do it for emails and text messages? I have read that I have to put the ringtones onto my SD card but I have no idea how to do that. Detailed help is greatly appreciated!

It's all under your notifications menus if you are using the stock Android tones. If you are using mp3 files you have saved from an app, say Zedge or files you've transferred then you should be able to select from that folder. That will already be on your SD card under its own folder

Text and email are in settings for each app. As for adding them plug into your computer and go into media/audio/notifications and drop here. Should be able to select them now in the email and text app.
