Anyone who has received the invitation for GB soak prompted for the OTA yet? Or is that going to start rolling out tonight? I have not gotten anything after my invitation.

This just seems like the invitations is useless and not going to happen because if they actually do plan on releasing update Friday then there is no time for any testing or feedback.
I have talked to several that reported getting a invite but hasn't heard anything else, they wouldn't start a testing group a few days before releasing OS, so if the update happens on Friday someone decided to play a trick on users...

But if i remember correctly, when froyo was release some people received the soak less than a week prior to it's scheduled official relase, and some were worried that if it had too many errors it would not be let public.
I am just guessing here, but is it still possible to receive it tonight seeing as some are saying it's not going full blown till the 1st?

I got the invite first of the week, haven't heard a thing since. Just hit update and it says my phone is updated....haven't received a prompt yet....
Just spitballing here, but it could be that the "soak" starts tomorrow coming OTA to the testers who got invited and the rest of users not get it until next week.
Did Verizon/Motorola ever say for sure that the update will be available to EVERYONE tomorrow, or just that it will START tomorrow?

That's what i firgured also, the invited testers are who are probably getting it tomorrow, then all's well, it will roll to everyone next week, cause the updated vzw pdf did not give a date.
That's what I thought...and here everyone is going to be flipping out tonight/tomorrow when they don't get their updates by going to Settings > About phone > System updates and will be here on AC complaining. :'(

I received a message from the MFN/MOF saying they are waiting final approval and once approved it should be a go to receive the test... so i'm hoping it does roll out after 12 tonight.

This is just too unorganized in my opinion.... A week of testing isn't going to be any more informational to identify bugs or issues.
Nothing...nada..zilch...I got the letter, too, so maybe they will get final directions sometime today, who knows...??
Would if I could find it. I looked before I ran the install and could not find it. I think Moto figured out people were sharing the SOAK updates and figured out how to hide it and delete it once installed. Very clever. (Or, I'm just lame and couldn't find the file.)
Download alogcat from the market. Dump the output to your comp, search it for URLs. One will direct you to a zip file for the update. Or just ask an admin to look at it. I think it has personal info of some sort, so def. don't just post it here.
