I have a stock Droid X and i keep getting that message.
I did battery pull, WIFI and still nothing
i have not deleted any bloat ware either
NEED HELP PLEASE

You probably have to factory reset. I used to have that issue and tried all sorts of fixes from various sources. Backed up my stuff, factory resetted, and no problems since. I was able to update up to GB.

I had to do this same thing. I tried everything listed in forums and on google search I could find and this ended up being only solution that actually worked.
