wifi issue

my wifi is not automatically connecting. When I open wi-fi settings is then connects on its own. If I lock the phone and reopen I am back to 3G. I saw anther post which stated to switch the wifi sleep policy to never. I though this would be the solution but that does not see to correct the issue. I have a stock phone with gingerbread. Any ideas?

Have you checked the option for Data Saver under Settings / Battery and Data Manager / Data Saver

did now and data saver is off

I'm having issues also my wifi connects and 2 to 3 pages in it internet stops working even though haven't lost my wifi connection.

Change your router to G instead on N and you'll be fine.
