My Droid X (Rooted, running ApeX 1.4.1 and happy with it!) has been downloading data all morning, running down my battery. "Android OS" process had used 45% battery in the last 6 hours.
Pulled battery, rebooted, and got the same behavior.
Then, just out of curiosity, went to the Settings -> About -> Update and got the popup that the update will begin downloading in XX seconds. Is this normal?
I thought rooted users would not receive updates? And I am running a completely modified system, so if the background data transfer really is the update getting pushed down, will it still install? I hope not, as I'm sure I'll have to SBF back and go thru a bunch of hoops, as my phone will be severely hosed.
Anyone have any similar experiences?
