Having trouble with keyboard..help!!

Something is wrong with my keyboard. It started lastnight with a huge lag at first and then on top of that now everytime I press the space bar it will exit me out from the keyboard. It doesn't do that with my swype keyboard. Just my regular android keyboard .I've only has this droid x2 for two weeks and I've taken extra precaution not to
damage it in any way. What do I do?

Try clearing Cache/Data for the Multi-touch keyboard App.
