Well, I can't cut and paste from gmail or any other account. Long presses don't kick up a menu.

This is a deal killer! Is gmail the only push email? what about changing the LED color for notifications?

Any help is appreciated...

Come on..my basic Curve from 2007 did this.

Thank god I have the 30 day return period from Verizon!!!

Yeah. I noticed. I spoke to Verizon. They said it isn't supported? wtf? fairness, it took the iphone years to get it. I guess it's back to the BB!

Ill try that. Hopefully it will allow me to cut from one email and paste to another. You would think 2.0 would have this as an OS root? Weird. Took it for granted on the BBs.
thanks!

the mail app doesn't seem to have that functionality in it. kind of annoying...
but the functionality is in the OS, they for some reason or another didn't include it in the gmail app

bizarre

Seems to work for me......

? To select text, press and hold Shift , then
press left or right.
? To cut or copy selected text, touch and hold text
> Cut or Copy.
? To paste cut or copied text, touch and hold > Paste
? To delete a character (hold to delete more), press
Delete .
? To delete the current line, press Alternate +
Delete .

thanks for the manual. It would be MUCH easier if you could just swipe your finger to select the text, then long press to copy/paste. lucky to have that physical keyboard and D pad.

so long as you are holding the shift key on the keyboard, you can swipe your finger to select the text. kind of awkward, it would be nice if the menu would always have the option to go into select mode.

Yea, but holding down the shift key is kind of annoying to do in the email program... Although I don't generally have to copy/paste from emails too often.
