I put my phone down on my bed, (when i checked it last it had 50% battery left). Then when i checked it not but an hour later, it was burning up and had 5% battery. This is the first time that this has happened. Anyone else having this issue? It really scared me for a second when that happened, and any help would be really appreciated.

Yes take it back and exchange it the battery is the problem.. I was in the store when someone else came in with the same problem

I noticed when it's not on 3G, or Wifi, but connected to 1X, etc... it tends to heat up if some active apps, like hi yahoo, or messaging, etc is open..

This just happened to me! I have the extended battery, had it plugged in and was uploading a large video to Dropbox.

Got rapidly flashing LED and my battery widget said overheat. It didn't feel that hot to the touch.

Is it because of the upload?!
