Like many of you, I've struggled with the camera taking any sort of decent indoor shots. I decided that the software release would be my only hope for getting better photos... However this weekend my son had a pool party and I wanted to take some photos.

This was indoors, odd light (from windows, flourescent bulbs, and the reflection off the pool). I tried the ACTION mode, and got immediate green corners and excellent photos every time. This is the FIRST time that my camera actually gave me the green focus corners, and also my best pictures to date.

By putting the camera in Action mode it seems to also select Infinity mode automatically, and also turn off the flash. This wouldn't work in darkness, but I've tried many indoor shots in the mode now, and all are turning out great.

I hope you all have the same experience. Thanks.

Wow, great advice, thanks :)

Macro mode also works really well for the closeups Ive taken, but for indoor regualr light that tip worked like a charm.
